I am a mother of three sons and have been married for 37 years. I have always loved to write since I was a child growing up. I started going to the library everyday in the summertime when I was 10 or 11 years old. Books seemed to open up the world for me, I would make believe I was a character in the stories. Growing up when I did there were only a few published black writer's. So I never even thought about possibly having anything published. But since I have been writing on gather I have started to put a collection together. I have alot to learn about the steps you must take toward being published. I write about real people and events I have known and have seen while growing up and living for 50 plus years.
